Khune, who has been a star performer for the Amakhosi this season, was a worry for their encounter against Polokwane City, however, the Siya crew has been informed that he has travelled with the team to Durban and is likely to be in the starting XI.
Dr Hashendra Ramjee did allude to the fact that the 30-year-old would be fit to play in a statement earlier in the week, and it appears his checks went well.
He told Chiefs’ official website, “Khune fell heavily on his head… He had a sore neck and a headache from the clash. We took him to hospital where he was examined. Accordingly, he was cleared of danger.
“Itu will undergo a series of checks and rehabilitation, however, he should be ready for the next match.”
Meanwhile, the likes of Lorenzo Gordinho, Tsepo Masilela, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Tsepo Masilela amongst others are still on the injury list.
