Wits To Deal With Mhango Spit Internally: Completely Unacceptable
Gavin Hunt Will Deal With Gabadinho Mhango Internally At Bidvest Wits
Gavin Hunt says that he hasn’t seen the spitting incident involving Michael Morton and Gabadinho Mhango last night, but says action will be taken ‘if it’s true’.
The Malawian spat in the face of his AmaZulu counterpart during last night’s encounter in the Absa Premiership, with the Clever Boys succumbing to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the newly promoted Usuthu.
Morton was sent off in the game for retaliating against Mhango after being spat at, although the forward stayed on the field escaping punishment completely.
The Siya crew spoke to Gavin Hunt about the incident, and he explained that the matter will be dealt with internally once he has seen what actually happened.
Hunt said, “If it’s true what people are saying happened, then we’ll deal with it internally. If it’s the truth, then that’s completely unacceptable.”
Morton faces a two-game suspension for his sending off, although at this stage the PSL has taken no action against Mhango.
