Former Mamelodi Sundowns Midfielder In The NFD
Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Luyolo Nomandela, has penned a deal in the National First Division.
Nomandela has been without a club, since parting ways with Cape Town City in April, following a brief spell with the Mother City outfit.
The 27-year-old Ngqeleni-born player, who has also been on the books of Free State Stars during his career, has signed a contract with Mthatha Bucks.
“Mthatha Bucks Football Club can confirm the signing of the Ngqeleni-born former national team player, Luyolo Nomandela.
“The former Free State Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana attack-minded player has worked very hard to impress the Bucks technical team led by Coach Ian Palmer over the last few weeks, having last been on the books of Cape Town City.
“Amathol'amnyama are optimistic that Nomandela will prove a significant boost to the squad, both in terms of his attacking prowess and well as the wealth of experience he brings,” Bucks confirmed in a statement.
Bucks are sixth on the NFD log. The club’s general manager Luxolo Matikinca has welcomed the signing of Nomandela.
“We are hoping that his experience will rub off the youngsters in the squad. He is a talented lad who has a lot to offer Bucks and South African football at large. We wish him everything of the best and are looking forward to his immense contribution to the team,” said Matikinca.
As confirmed by the Eastern Cape club, former FC Cape Town and University of Pretoria striker Lucky Mathosi has also been signed by the team.
