Kaizer Chiefs are likely to face Botswana side, Township Rollers, with Tshepo ‘Skhwama’ Matete in the line-up for the visiting team.
The midfielder, who is otherwise known as a YouTube sensation for his silky skills with the ball, has joined the Botswana Premier League champions for the upcoming season.
The 25-year-old, who started the 2016/17 season with Baroka FC, was released from the Limpopo outfit in January. ‘Skhwama’ is set to be unveiled by the Botswana outfit in their upcoming game against Chiefs.
It has been confirmed that Amakhosi will play in this year’s Bokone Bophirima Maize Cup. This year’s annual pre-season tournament will also feature Platinum Stars, Free State Stars and Township Rollers.
Following the draw for the tournament that was conducted on Tuesday, it has been confirmed that Dikwena will face Ea Lla Koto in the first game on July 15 at 10h00. Steve Komphela’s Chiefs will come up against Rollers in the second game at 12h00 on the same day.
The final will be played at 16h00. All the games will take place at the James Motlatsi Stadium in Orkney.
