SuperSport’s Injury Boost As Duo Return
Eric Tinkler Has A Couple Of Injured Players Back At SuperSport United
SuperSport United head coach, Eric Tinkler, has been handed a boost in the medical room with Fagrie Lakay and Denwin Farmer now both available for selection again.
The young duo, who are 20 and 21 respectively, haven’t featured for SuperSport so far this season due to injury problems, but Tinkler says that they’re now close to making their return.
Farmer hasn’t played since April’s win over Bidvest Wits, while Lakay’s last game was in May during the 5-3 CAF Confederation Cup victory against Mounana.
Speaking to the Siya crew this week, Tinkler said, “Fagrie Lakay has been cleared, he was out for quite a while so he’ll get some game time this weekend in the Diski team, and he has two weeks to maybe prepare himself for the second leg of our CAF semi. It’s good to have him back in full training.
“Denwin Farmer is also back and looking very, very good. So we’re happy with that. The only ones out right now are Thato Mokeke and Onismor Bhasera. The sick room is shrinking.”
Matsatsantsa faces Club Africain in a huge CCC semi-final this weekend, and are offering free entry to any fans wearing blue for the game on Sunday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
