Doc On Taking Baroka Brand To Another Level
Doctor Khumalo Talks Baroka FC Involvement
South African football legend, Doctor Khumalo, has spoken about life at Baroka FC where he is a member of their technical team.
Following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs last month, Khumalo took up a new role as the technical director at Baroka. In his latest column in Soccer Laduma, Khumalo has discussed his involvement at the Kgoloko Thobejane-coached team.
“At the moment, we are still trying to take the brand to another level without getting ahead of ourselves. We are working around the clock and our next game will be away to Chippa United next Tuesday. The preparations are going very well. I had a privilege of being given a chance to take the boys through their paces twice recently and the feedback and (the) reaction was unbelievable,” said Khumalo.
Khumalo is pleased to be working with talented players such as newly signed Siphelele Ntshangase, as well as Gift Motupa who is at the Limpopo outfit on loan from Orlando Pirates.
“I must say that it was so overwhelming to see the reaction from the players from the drills that we did, so much that they didn’t want the sessions to end. That’s how much they enjoyed it and when you get players like Siphelele Ntshangase, Gift Motupa and others asking for more at training because they’re enjoying it, then you know you’re on the right path. That means there’s something positive I’m adding to the team going forward,” concluded the legend.
In Khumalo’s latest column, he also discusses other interesting football topics contained in edition 1039 of Soccer Laduma.
