Malesela Speaks On Chippa Exit

Dan Malesela Discusses Chippa United Departure

By Masebe Qina - Sep 15, 2017 10:49 AM @MasebeQina

Former Chippa United coach, Dan Malesela, has discussed his exit from the Port Elizabeth outfit.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns development coach says he expected his exit from the Chippa Mpengesi-owned club.

After winning only one of their three matches so far this season, Chippa decided to relieve the coach of his duties.

Speaking to the Siya crew, Malesela confirmed that he was not shocked by the club’s decision.

“I would say it (time with Chippa) had its moments. It had moments that were good and those that were tense. When you are in a situation you learn to understand how it operates. Sometimes living on the edge puts pressure on you. When you have to think smart and be very precise with what you decide sometimes it’s the disadvantage because you don’t know the expectations of other people. So it had its moments – those that were good and those that were bad. It’s normal. You find that in any situation. In a marriage, life or at home there are good and bad moments. For me, it’s part of life. It’s not a train smash. It’s about going on with the territory and understanding where you are and what you should expect in life. I expected it. I expected people to say ‘Hey, we love you, stay’ and I expected people to say ‘We don’t like you, go,” said Malesela.

You play too much entertainment football and you forget that results are needed. You team just doesn't know how to score.

It's like Eastern Cape has been cursed not to have a team on PSL. Chippa is going down. It's like he is not fit to manage a team or it's like he won a lotto and didn't know what to do about it.

The RDP of football analysis: Almost everybody knows that Dan is a good coach especially when you cast your eyes to where he found Chippa United. At his early stages of his professional career one cannot help thinking how far he will go. With experience I see him one day achieving the National senior coaching notche. For now it is only a learning curve, a situation where some people were hasty in their predictions. Dan Dance built Chippa to be a formidable team that grinded the results even against high flying teams in the Absa league. He was never beaten with a hilarious tennis score. It was very marginal.

Mpengesi did good in wasting no time in firing Dan. I wish our Guluva had the same guts as Mpengesi.

The devil is in the detail at Chippa and this devil is Mpengesi, this guy is smoking socks, somebody shoul remind him that the league is a marathon and all teams currently have equally played a lousy 3 matches, already this moemish is firing a coach, i wish you luck Tebza!
