Malesela Speaks On Chippa Exit
Dan Malesela Discusses Chippa United Departure
Former Chippa United coach, Dan Malesela, has discussed his exit from the Port Elizabeth outfit.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns development coach says he expected his exit from the Chippa Mpengesi-owned club.
After winning only one of their three matches so far this season, Chippa decided to relieve the coach of his duties.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Malesela confirmed that he was not shocked by the club’s decision.
“I would say it (time with Chippa) had its moments. It had moments that were good and those that were tense. When you are in a situation you learn to understand how it operates. Sometimes living on the edge puts pressure on you. When you have to think smart and be very precise with what you decide sometimes it’s the disadvantage because you don’t know the expectations of other people. So it had its moments – those that were good and those that were bad. It’s normal. You find that in any situation. In a marriage, life or at home there are good and bad moments. For me, it’s part of life. It’s not a train smash. It’s about going on with the territory and understanding where you are and what you should expect in life. I expected it. I expected people to say ‘Hey, we love you, stay’ and I expected people to say ‘We don’t like you, go,” said Malesela.
