Malesela has been relieved his coaching duties at the Port Elizabeth team, after only three games this season. The Chilli Boys are 12th on the Absa Premiership log with three points out of a possible nine.

The club announced Moloi as their caretaker coach, as part of their technical team changes.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr Teboho Moloi back to the football club, now as (the) caretaker coach. Mr Moloi comes from a football family, and football runs in his DNA, he is a servant of the game and fully deserves this opportunity. He is a passionate, thoughtful, an innovative professional who possesses the skills, experience and personality to succeed at this job.

“When I bring someone to the club I do not look at them as an employee, but as a member of the family. I welcome Mr Moloi to the Chippa United family, and we have no doubt that he can work with us to take this football club to greater heights.

“He will be fully supported by the management and everyone at the club to ensure that we create the best possible environment for him to thrive in this job and help us take the vision of the club forward. He is passionate about the Chippa United brand and has embraced our vision and of course theme for the season, #SeasonOfVictory.

“As the only Eastern Cape club in the Premier Soccer League, Chippa United remains the hope and pride of this province, and I am delighted that the coach also understands that there is more we can do to develop local talent. We must give back to the people of this province for the support they have given us,” said Mpengesi in an official club statement.

Chippa will never prosper in the PSL with the kind of treatment he displays towards coaches. The guy abuses his ownership power. Yes football is business but Chippa is totally out of control.

Sundowns must win their first ever star this year since they don'have. The one they have is a fake one. They know very well how they won it. They won it through back door, which is why I don't call them African champions

"I finally got the kind of coach I was looking for,for many years".Those are the Siviwe Mpengesi's words after employing Dan Malesela as his club's mentor.According to me,mr Mpengesi doesn't understand football well and lacks football brains. How can he fire a kind of a coach like Dan Malesela?. His team will be relegated come end of the season.

GOVERNANCE ISSUES AT CHIPPA UNITED!!!! To me it’s like……The Chippa United Board of Directors are not independent. I see Mr Siviwe “Chippa” Mpengesi taking all the decisions on his own. What is the use of having a Board therefore. They don't look competent right now. If I was part of his Board I was going to tender my resignation and protect my integrity. King IV encourages having board of directors who are independent and acting in the best interests of the organisation. Many companies at some point experience power struggle through Board of Directors trying to control decision making and influence the organisation’s earnings and profitability for personal benefits and enrichment. Board of directors must act in the best interest of the company not putting their own interests before those of an organisation. If the Chippa United Board of Directors claims to be independent then I suggest an inquiry into their fitness of office. For adequate control, in its composition the Board of Directors should encompass a balance in diversity, skills, responsibilities, experience, knowledge and independence. Right now I see a SPAZA SHOP that is about to collapse, its just a matter of time. For Chippa United to become a sustainable club there are many flaws that need to be examined…….

The firing chairman...he is building a brand while destroying it...no future here. Lack of long term plan is what is killing Clubs like Bucs and nappyrena free agents.
