Cape Town City Defender Reveals Which Kaizer Chiefs Player Gave Him Problems
Cape Town City left back, Edmilson Dove, has revealed which Kaizer Chiefs winger gave him a hard time during his first season in the Premier Soccer League.
The 22-year-old Mozambican international joined up with the Mother City-based club in the January transfer window this year, where he became former City head coach, Eric Tinkler’s first-choice left back prior to sustaining an injury.
Speaking in this week’s Soccer Laduma, the player revealed that Chiefs’ Siphiwe Tshabalala was one of the best wingers that he has faced so far in Mzansi’s top flight.
“We have had some tough games, but I think one of the games we played against Kaizer Chiefs was hard. It was a tough game for me. (Siphiwe) Tshabalala gave me some problems when he moved to the right wing to face me,” Dove said in this week’s edition of in-touch.
The player also added that Mamelodi Sundowns’ right back, who often plays on the wing for the Brazilians, is another opponent who gave him problems in his defensive department.
“Another of those games was against Mamelodi Sundowns, wherein (Thapelo) Morena gave me a lot of trouble when he came on. Like a bolt of lightning, he is so quick, ha, ha. He gave me some problems as a fast winger,” Dove said.
