D-D-W-W-W As Baroka Aim To Maintain Unbeaten Run
Baroka With No Loss And Among Top Three On The Log
Baroka FC takes aim at Ajax Cape Town in their upcoming match, as they try to maintain their unbeaten run this season.
Baroka will host Ajax at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon and following the club's consecutive wins in their last three matches, Kgoloko Thobejane’s side is in second place on the Absa Premiership log and tied on 11 points with Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates.
Bakgaga are one of the three teams yet to face a loss this season, with two others being log leaders Arrows, as well as former champions, Pirates. In issue 1041 of Soccer Laduma, Baroka’s technical director, Doctor Khumalo, lauded the Limpopo team’s impressive start.
“We started the season very well and it is just a matter of staying composed and maintaining the momentum because we know it is not going to be easy. Once you are up there on the log standings, you become a trendsetter and everyone is looking forward to facing you. While a good start to the season is very important, it also brings unnecessary attention to your team and you kind of invite people to come at you all the time,” said Khumalo in his column in Soccer Laduma.
Kaizer Chiefs will be the next opponents for Baroka in their last match of the month on September 30, after the Ajax encounter this weekend.
