Baroka Set For Technical Team Changes
Baroka FC Give Clarity On Donald Makhubedu
Baroka FC’s spokesperson, Jimmy Ngobeni, has refuted reports that the club has finalised the acquisition of MacDonald Makhubedu to their technical team.
Local media reports suggest that Makhubedu has made the switch from ABC Motsepe League’s Acornbush United to be Kgoloko Thobejane’s assistant in the technical team at Baroka.
While indication is that Makhubedu is likely to appear in the colours of Bakgaga for the beginning of the 2017/18 season, the club’s spokesperson says the deal has not been signed and sealed as yet.
“I can confirm that he did come to us to say he would like to help us. We did have talks but we didn’t even sign a contract with him. I saw that it’s in the media and that the CEO (Morgan Mammila) confirmed that he (Makhubedu) is with us. Yes, but he has not signed a contract with us,” said Ngobeni.
Ngobeni has confirmed that the club has planned to unveil new players and confirm technical team changes on the first week of July.
“He (Makhubedu) might be joining us. We have been impressed with his work-rate (at Acornbush). But it’s not confirmed until we sign a contract,” concluded Ngobeni.
Milton Dlamini, who had a stint with Baroka as Thobejane’s assistant this past season, is on his way out of the club. Dlamini’s contract with the club will expire at the end of the month and indication is that it will not be renewed.
