Absa Premiership champions, Bivdest Wits remain winless after they played out a 2-2 draw with ten-man Free State Stars at Goble Park.
The champions enjoyed an encouraging start and they broke the deadlock in the ninth minute courtesy of a strike from Kobamelo Kodisang. His first for the club.
The Clever Boys continued to threaten as the first half went on, while Stars looked to catch their opponents on the break.
However, Stars managed pull themselves level in the 34th minute as Relebogile Mokhuoane side-footed home from 12-yards out after superb run from Makhehlene Makhaula down the left.
There was a good tempo to the encounter in the final 10 minutes of the first half, but the score remained level as the side entered the halftime break.
Wits threatened early on in the second half, and should have restored their lead in the 48th minute but an un-marked Daylon Claasen headed wide from close range.
With the chances running dry, Wits introduced Steven Pienaar for Phumlani Ntshangase on 61 minutes as they pushed for a second goal.
Stars were then reduced to 10 men after 68 minutes when Thamsanqa Teyise was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
Wits' perseverance was eventually rewarded in the 82nd minute as Reeve Frosler embarked on a fine solo run before calmly slotting in the bottom corner.
However, Stars managed to level matters in the 88th minute when Siphelele Mthembu netted his first goal from the club from the penalty spot.
