Baroka FC maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-2 draw against Ajax Cape Town on Saturday afternoon.
Roderick Kabwe gave the Urban Warriors an early lead in the second minute of the match, catching Virgil Vries off his line with a looping shot from just outside the box that sailed into the back of the net, 0-1.
Richard Matloga brought Bakgaga level in the 11th minute from the penalty spot after they were awarded a spot-kick for a handball inside the area, 1-1.
After half-an-hour the flow of the match settled somewhat following a frantic start.
Kgoloko Thobejane's charges were playing in the Urban Warriors' half up to the closing minutes of the first stanza looking to go on a lead with some slick passing.
However, the match went into the halftime break level at 1-1.
Tashreeq Morris restored the lead for Stanley Menzo's charges three minutes into the second half with a volleyed shot inside the box having gone one-on-one with the goalkeeper Vries, 1-2.
Lewis Macha quickly brought parity for Bakgaga in the 56th minute with a well timed gliding header beating goalkeeper Brendon Peterson at the near post, 2-2.
Thobejane's troops were stretching the Urban Warriors after 70 minutes with pace on the wings at the scorching heat in Polokwane.
Morris missed a glorious chance to put the visitors ahead in the 78th minute after dribbling past the goalkeeper and with two players protecting the goals, he fired straight at them.
In the closing minutes of the second half the Urban Warriors packed the midfield to stop the attacks from Bakgaga and were successful as they saw out the share of spoils.
