Transfer Update: Striker And Defender To Return To Mamelodi Sundowns?
Mamelodi Sundowns could be welcoming the return of two of their loanee players namely, Fiston Abdul Razak and Mario Booysen.
Razak joined Celtic on loan last year, January, where he managed 18 appearances in all competitions for Siwelele in the 2016/17 season, scoring three goals from the centre forward position.
However, the 25-year-old is now set to return to his parent club, Sundowns, with indications that a decision about his immediate future is yet to be made.
Sundowns confirmed in a press release in May this year, that Razak will be returning to the CAF Champions League winners, amidst interest in the player’s services.
“Abdul Razak Fiston: there’s interest in the player from PSL and teams abroad. A decision is also expected on the player soon,” Masandawana revealed on their official website at the time.
Booysen, who clinched the 2017 Nedbank Cup with SuperSport United last month, June, will also be returning to the Chloorkop-based club after his loan stint with Matsatsantsa came to an end on June 30. However, as previously revealed by Sundowns, the two clubs were expected to open talks about the 28-year-old’s future.
“Mario Booysens: Supersport United and Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to begin talks regarding player’s future,” Sundowns added in the press release.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Masandawana will look to hold on to the player’s services in the new 2017/18 campaign or whether a move away from the Chloorkop-based club is one the cards for the duo.
