It was previously reported by the Siya crew that Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Chiefs are all believed to be interested in acquiring the services of Ajax Cape Town’s Mosa Lebusa.
The player’s representative, Vasili Barbis, has since reaffirmed the reports, by confirming that Sundowns and Amakhosi are showing strong interest in the left back.
However, the Siya crew has since been informed by a source in the know that Chiefs are believed to be leading the race to land the player and are keen on proposing a potential swap deal to the Urban Warriors.
Indications are that Ajax might put a hefty price tag on the defender’s services following the interest from their PSL rivals and with the Glamour Boys keen on adding the player to their roster, sources have revealed that the Soweto giants are considering a deal that will see Lebusa at Naturena and centre back Gordinho go in the opposite direction.
Despite Gordinho being the first choice alongside Erick Mathoho in the centre back position, Amakhosi are believed to be open to letting the player go in order to land their transfer target, Lebusa.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Chiefs will approach Ajax in the current July/August transfer window and whether or not the Urban Warriors will be open to the possibility of a potential swap deal.
