Ex-Chiefs Trialist Spotted At SuperSport

SuperSport United Have Darren Lurie On Trial

By Soccer Laduma - Aug 29, 2017 11:08 AM
Former Kaizer Chiefs trialist, Darren Lurie, has been spotted training at SuperSport United as he continues his search for a new club.

The 25-year-old forward, who was most recently playing in Israel, spent some time with the Amakhosi a short while ago, as their hunt for a new striker went on, however, he wasn’t able to secure a deal and was sent on his way.

Now, with Matsatsantsa looking at the possibility of bringing in another forward for the 2017/18 season, the Siya crew have been informed that the former Mpumalanga Black Aces man is training with SuperSport as he looks to try and impress Eric Tinkler.

It remains to be seen how long Lurie will be given to leave a mark on Tinkler and his technical team, however, the fact that he is a free agent means that they are not governed by the transfer window that ends on Thursday evening.

They'll probably sign him. And he'll prove to be a good signing, like Bidvest Wits'James Keene.

@siyas23 he is on trial, not signed by supersport...its wrong to assume that chiefs should sign everyone that comes for trial, fearing that they might work somewhere if we don't sign them.....so I guess we should have also signed Phillip since he was too on trials at chiefs....yes we missed out on james keen after he did trials with us and became successs at wits, but its wrong to sign everyone who comes on trial

In the history of PSL, no team has ever suffered like this. Swallows went down with hope n optimism in each n step to the woods....Chiefs has no hope n they don't even which step to take next.
