Former Chiefs & Downs Coach Keen On PSL Return
Paul Dolezar Is Keen On A PSL Coaching Role
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Paul Dolezar, is keen on a return to the PSL.
The controversial Frenchman, who could be remembered for his charisma and his touchline outbursts, last coached in the PSL in 2011 during his stint with Mpumalanga Black Aces.
The Siya crew has it on good authority that the 71-year-old coach was keen on the coaching job at Cape Town City, before the appointment of Benni McCarthy as the replacement for Eric Tinkler at the Mother City outfit.
Dolezar first arrived in South Africa when he was appointed by Chiefs as their head coach in 1997. Apart from Amakhosi, Dolezar had spells with Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic, Black Leopards and Aces during his time coaching in Mzansi’s top flight.
Following his departure from Aces in 2011, Dolezar was accused of allegedly submitting a ‘fake’ CV to his employers by the club management at the time.
