Pirates Expect Striker Arrival
Orlando Pirates To Welcome New Player
Orlando Pirates chairman, Irvin Khoza, has confirmed that the team's head coach Milutin Sredojevic will be joined by a new striker in their training tomorrow (Wednesday).
Pirates announced a new sponsorship with Ford South Africa earlier today. During the announcement of the new sponsorship, Khoza told the media that the team will have a striker joining them in their training tomorrow.
“If you go to the training tomorrow, there’s a new player… I’m just giving you the first name – is Justin. He’s joining the coach. He’s a striker. I won’t give you the surname,” said Khoza.
In July, Bucs announced the signing of Nigerian striker Christian Obiozor. However, the striker didn’t stay long with the Soweto giants, after his deal fell through without him having started his PSL career.
Bucs also lost Tendai Ndoro last month, after the Zimbabwean completed a move to Saudi Arabian club, AS Faisaly.
The Buccaneers have been linked with 20-year-old Zambian forward Justin Shonga in recent times.
While the club has been linked with Shonga, there has been no official confirmation on whether he is the player that Khoza is referring to, but the Siya crew is investigating.
