Buccaneers Foreigner Quandary On The Cards?
Orlando Pirates To Make Important Squad Decisions
Orlando Pirates are believed to be working around the clock to decide on the five players to fill the club’s foreign quota.
The Buccaneers are strongly linked with Ugandan defender Murushid Juuko, who is said to be a transfer target for the team’s newly appointed head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
The club currently has Bernard Morrison, Issa Sarr, Tendai Ndoro, Emmanuel Daniel and Christian Obiozor filling the five foreigner spots for the new season.
Zimbabwean midfielder Marshall Munetsi, who spent the 2016/17 season on loan with Baroka FC, has been training with Pirates. However, it is not yet clear if the central midfielder will be registered for the new season.
Daniel, who is a Nigerian goalkeeper that has been with the club since the beginning of the year, is linked with a move away from Bucs, as reported by the Siya crew.
While the Soweto giants are expected to finalise a deal with Juuko, the club will be expected to also part ways with one or two foreigners in their current squad in preparation for the new season.
