Motshegwa Leaves Pirates For New Deal
Orlando Pirates Parting Ways With Jacky Motshegwa
News reaching the Siya crew is that Jacky Motshegwa is expected to report for Bloemfontein Celtic pre-season, instead of Orlando Pirates.
Having spent the past two seasons with Baroka FC on loan from Pirates, Motshegwa is set for a permanent move back to Celtic for the 2017/18 season, according to sources.
The midfielder’s professional career started with the Mangaung outfit in 2011 before he secured a move to Bucs in 2013. The Mokopane-born player struggled for game-time at Pirates.
After signing the player in 2013, the Buccaneers loaned him back to Siwelele in 2014, after he found the going tough with breaking into the team’s starting line-up in his first season with them.
He was subsequently loaned to Baroka for the two seasons that followed.
“Jacky Motshegwa – the guy who has been playing for Baroka – is re-joining Bloemfontein Celtic. As the loan deal he had with Baroka has come to an end, he has gone to Celtic. His move back to Celtic is as good as done, as he has already been given accommodation where some of the club’s players are staying,” said the source.
Celtic has also been linked with Bidvest Wits and South African youth international, Tebogo Moerane, during this off-season.
