Josephs Scores Extended Wits Deal
Moeneeb Josephs Has Extended His Bidvest Wits Contract
Veteran Bidvest Wits goalkeeper, Moeneeb Josephs, has landed himself an extended contract at the club after helping them win the Absa Premiership title.
Josephs, who turned 37 last month, had previously told the Siya crew that he was not worried about his contract situation with the Clever Boys, and that – at this stage – has no plans to retire.
He spent a large part of the 2016/17 season on the bench as Darren Keet made a name for himself following his return to the club, but did put in some impressive performances that led him to win May’s Player of the Month award.
He confirmed in May that, while his contract hadn’t been finalised, he would still be with the club next season, and the crew has now been informed that everything has been completed after putting pen to paper.
As with James Keene, Wits’ CEO, Jose Ferreira, confirmed that Josephs had committed his future to the club and would definitely be with them as they seek to defend their league title.
