Reports: Micho Heading For Pirates, Contract Agreed

Micho Has Reportedly Agreed Terms With Orlando Pirates

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 26, 2017 10:29 AM
According to reports coming out of Uganda, former Orlando Pirates head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević is on his way back to the club for the new season.

The Siya crew reported over the weekend that the Serbian could be heading back to the Buccaneers as his future with Uganda was thrown into doubt and the Ugandan media seem convinced that it’s now a done deal.

According to NBS, the 47-year-old has agreed to a three-year contract with Pirates and will fly to South Africa later this week to finalise the deal ahead of his appointment.

The television station went as far as saying that he will be unveiled on Monday after the Carling Black Label Cup and that he will be earning $50,000 (R650,000) per year in Johannesburg.

At this point, there have been no confirmations of the coach’s future, and when speaking to the Siya crew he said, “I am on holidays in Addis Ababa, all other stories need to be disregarded as mere speculations.”

Pirates face Chiefs in the CBL Cup this weekend in a game that could now potentially be Kjell Jonevret’s last game in charge.

We are happy with the coming of a new Coach. The Scandinavian does not know South African Football.Orlando Pirates players are good footballers who only need a good coach to pull the best out of them.

To be honest,Pirates are going for another season in the struggling boat. Changing of management means changing of systems. Especially since Pirates signed few players already.
