Manyama’s Turkish Suitors Revealed!

Manyama's Turkish Suitors Revealed!

By Soccer Laduma - Aug 25, 2017 04:47 PM

The name of the Turkish side believed to be locked in negotiations for Cape Town City’s Lebogang Manyama has been revealed to Soccer Laduma, as the player’s immediate future with the Mother City-based club is still in doubt.

As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, a Turkish club is believed to have approached Chairman John Comitis for the services of his star player.

Siya sources close to the club have now revealed the name of the Turkish outfit and it is understood to be Super Lig side, Atiker Konyaspor.

As revealed this week, Konyaspor is currently in talks with City about a transfer for Manyama and it has been no secret that the 26-year-old is keen on a move away from the club.

However, as it stands, the only stumbling block in the two parties’ negotiations is the hefty price tag that Chairman Comitis has put on the player’s services.

As reported previously, City is believed to be wanting to cash in on around €1 million (R15.6m) in a transfer fee for the player's signature.

Indications are that City could lower their asking price and reach an agreement for Manyama's move to the Turkish top tier side in the side in the coming days, which will see Mamelodi Sundowns lose out on his signature. It's no secret that Coach Pitso Mosimane wants the player at Chloorkop, though a move abroad seems more likely at this point in time.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Kanyaspor are able to come to a mutual agreement with City and whether a move for the player will materialise in the coming days.

Honestly!! It's a lie. There's no Konyaspor, they just want to shake Sundowns to take action because they(Sundowns) have been quiet these days about Manyama's deal and they are not showing enough efford to pursuit the player. Since Pitso made one call about Manyama's interest and City never heard from him again. Honestly Manyama is driven by Sundowns' interest. His heart is no longer with City. He want the Sundowns deal to happen. The only thing that delays Manyama's Sundowns move is the high price of R15,6million price tag. Despite the player of the season, this price is high for the South African market.

As long as Manyama's dream of playing in Europe is fulfilled it's ok. Teams shouldn't stand in the players way by asking for hefty transfer fees when they know very well that these European teams are reluctant to break a bank when it comes to African players.

Orlando Pirates could sign Mamelodi Sundowns striker Malajila as Tendai Ndoro replacement. The 33-year-old marksman is believed to be on the radar of the Buccaneers, who are expected to sign a striker before the Transfer Window closes. Mamelodi Sundowns striker Cuthbert Malajila could reportedly join Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates. The Zimbabwean international enjoyed regular game time at Bidvest Wits last season - helping the club win the PSL title, while on a loan deal from Sundowns. The Brazilians have since recalled the hard-running frontman, who netted four goals in 25 league matches for Wits during the 2016/17 campaign. Malajila has since been linked with Orlando Pirates, who recently sold their leading marksman Tendai Ndoro to Saudi Arabian club Al Faisaly FC. According to iScefe Malajila is likely to replace his countryman at the Soweto giants. "Sundowns may allow Malajila to depart Chloorkop on a transfer should the player find himself a satisfactory offer elsewhere. Sources from South Africa suggest that Orlando Pirates have tabled an offer for the striker as they seek a replacement for Tendai Ndoro," Sundowns recently announced that Malajila along with Botswana international Mogakoladi Ngele are waiting for their South African permanent residency. The two forwards will be registered as locals once their permits are issued by the Department of Home Affairs.

The r four teams that don't have to sell their players in the PSL, its CTC WITS SUPERSPORT and Sundowns cause they r sooo ambitious. As for the rest they should play to impress so that the above mentioned teams can notice them.

That price tag is not hefty, infact it's a bit low considering that he was last season's player of the season...but it will be a good move if it does materialise. Oh by the way I like your bullet head
