Mamelodi Sundowns Midfielder Signs New Deal
Mamelodi Sundowns have secured the services of one of their midfielders on a new long-term deal at the club, following on-going negotiations between the club and the player’s camp.
As reported previously on Soccer Laduma, Sundowns were keen on holding on to the services of Sibusiso Kumalo, who turned out for the Brazilians’ MultiChoice Diski side in the recent campaign.
As revealed at the time according to a Siya source, Head Coach, Pitso Mosimane, was impressed with the player’s progress in the MultiChoice side and even likened the player to the midfielder, Tiyani Mabunda.
The Siya crew has since been informed by a reliable source that the 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal with Masandawana, where he will remain at the club until, at least, 2020.
Kumalo’s previous contract with the Brazilians was set to expire at the end of June this year and indications are that Sundowns acted quickly to avoid losing the player on a free at the end of his deal.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the player will be given the chance to impress Mosimane in the first-team in the new 2017/18 campaign.
