Downs Renew Interest In Celtic Winger
Mamelodi Sundowns Have Renewed Their Interest In Winger
News reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns have revitalised their interest in Bloemfontein Celtic’s Dumisani Zuma, with a view to signing him for the upcoming 2017/18 season.
The Siya crew reported in November last year that Pitso Mosimane had named former Maritzburg United player, Philani Zulu, as well as Zuma as potential replacements for Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly when both players were still with the Chloorkop outfit during the time of the famous ‘CBD’.
With Zulu now all but set to appear in the colours of Kaizer Chiefs, it is believed that Sundowns are making attempts to sign Zuma from Celtic.
Having signed Thapelo Morena from Celtic last year, and with the player has done well in his first season with the club, Downs are believed to have upped their interest in Zuma as part of their plans for next season.
“Sundowns is interested in Dumisani Zuma. The club’s interest in the player is known to his club, Celtic. Sundowns has been interested in Zuma for some time,” said the source.
Sundowns or any other club interested in Zuma will have to pay a transfer fee to Celtic. The 22-year-old winger belongs to Celtic after the Mangaung outfit exercised the one-year option they had on his contract.
