Mamelodi Sundowns Eyeing Polokwane City Striker
Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be monitoring one of Polokwane City’s top strikers.
It was previously revealed on the Soccer Laduma website that Chippa United were looking to add Puleng Tlolane to their books, however negotiations between the player’s camp and Chippa turned sour after it was revealed that the player was still contracted to Rise and Shine.
Tlolane is in the final year of his deal with Polokwane and according to Siya sources close to the Sundowns camp, the Brazilians are believed to have shown an interest in the player and are currently monitoring the striker’s situation.
The 26-year-old made 25 appearances in all competitions for Polokwane last season, scoring four and assisting three goals for the Bethlehem-based side, who finished in sixth place on the Absa Premiership league standings.
As previously reported on Soccer Laduma, Sundowns have already approached Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City for the services of George Lebese, Lebogang Manyama and Aubrey Ngoma respectively, with the Chloorkop-based club having already confirmed the signing of Ghanaian goalkeeper, Brimah Razak and are expected to make an official announcement regarding Oupa Manyisa.
Head Coach Pitso Mosimane is eager to bolster his squad for their current CAF Champions League campaign, after parting ways with Teko Modise and Wayne Sandilands.
Now, it remains to be see whether Sundowns will look to approach Polokwane for the services of Tlolane in the coming weeks.
