Mamelodi Sundowns Defender To Avoid Going Under The Knife?
Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Rivaldo Coetzee, could avoid the lengthy layoff of recovering from surgery after it was revealed that the player may not need to go under the knife.
The Brazilians completed a deal for the 20-year-old during the final hours of the transfer window deadline day on August 31, this following the player’s failed move to Scottish giants, Glasgow Celtic.
The Siya crew broke the news that after agreeing to a deal in principle, the player failed his medical with Celtic due to an underlying problem with his foot which subsequently saw the club withdraw from the planned deal.
However, after the player put pen to paper on a contract with Masandawana, it was subsequently revealed that Coetzee would need surgery to correct the problem with his foot.
It has since been revealed to Soccer Laduma by a source close to the Chloorkop-based club that the medical team at the club has established that the centre back could avoid surgery, as the problem with his foot is not as bad as it initially seemed.
Sources have added that the player is currently receiving the necessary treatment for his injury as he looks to recover well and make his official debut in the Ka Bo Yellow colours.
