Mamelodi Sundowns’ Cheque Book Still Open!
Mamelodi Sundowns could look to complete up to two more 'big name' signings by the transfer deadline day on August 31, this according to Siya sources.
The transfer window will close at midnight on Thursday, August 31 and speculation about player movements are continuing to build up, with Sundowns expected to conclude possibly two more signings during the final hours of the window.
Siya sources have indicated that Masandawana are keen on completing two ‘big name’ signings who are able to contribute to Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s challenge to reclaim the Absa Premiership league title.
The likes of Lebogang Manyama, Aubrey Ngoma, Jeremy Brockie and Phakamani Mahlambi have all been heavily linked with a move to the Chloorkop-based club as of late and sources have added that Sundowns’ cheque book is currently open as they look to make last minute acquisitions.
As things stand, SuperSport United have rejected Brockie’s transfer request and City are currently locked in negotiations with Turkish outfit, Atiker Konyaspor for Manyama, while Mahlambi’s agent, Glyn Binkin, confirmed that there has been local interest in the player but wouldn’t divulge any further.
Masandawana completed the signing of Oupa Manyisa, George Lebese, Brimah Razak and Thokozani Sekotlong so far in the current July/August transfer window.
Now, it remains to be seen whether any of the above-mentioned players will be making their way to the Chloorkop-based club in the coming hours.
