Sundowns’ Cheque Book Still Open!

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Cheque Book Still Open!

Mamelodi Sundowns could look to complete up to two more 'big name' signings by the transfer deadline day on August 31, this according to Siya sources.

The transfer window will close at midnight on Thursday, August 31 and speculation about player movements are continuing to build up, with Sundowns expected to conclude possibly two more signings during the final hours of the window.

Siya sources have indicated that Masandawana are keen on completing two ‘big name’ signings who are able to contribute to Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s challenge to reclaim the Absa Premiership league title.

The likes of Lebogang Manyama, Aubrey Ngoma, Jeremy Brockie and Phakamani Mahlambi have all been heavily linked with a move to the Chloorkop-based club as of late and sources have added that Sundowns’ cheque book is currently open as they look to make last minute acquisitions.

As things stand, SuperSport United have rejected Brockie’s transfer request and City are currently locked in negotiations with Turkish outfit, Atiker Konyaspor for Manyama, while Mahlambi’s agent, Glyn Binkin, confirmed that there has been local interest in the player but wouldn’t divulge any further.

Masandawana completed the signing of Oupa Manyisa, George Lebese, Brimah Razak and Thokozani Sekotlong so far in the current July/August transfer window.

Now, it remains to be seen whether any of the above-mentioned players will be making their way to the Chloorkop-based club in the coming hours.

No need to sign these players coz brookey is more of Castro, also if you have the lykes of themba zwane & tau and the back up in lebese there is therefore no need for mahlambi

Coach, if i was at your place with a fat cheque book like yours, i would leave all the local players alone and would immediately approach and grab Sanchez from Arsenal, that guy is highly frustrated in that team, he is waiting for anybody that would say Join Me. I promise you Sundowns will go places if you could scoop that guy

This cowch called Pizza Moshimali must enjoy it while it last...sooner or later he is going to manage a team that have less operating income in transfer window. He is going to suffer.

Pitso and Sundowns need to stop being greedy and let other kids have the piece of the pie too. There are poor but ambitious clubs like Baroka and Chippa who need players like Brockie, Manyama or Mahlambi. If Sundowns go for every good player, they make it difficult for other poor clubs to go for those.

if you are a coach worth your salt then make do with the players at your disposal and win tiltles....dont be like a bird and use other birds' feathers to build yourself a cosy home...Sundowns thrive on weakening the other teams so that they can beat them easily and claim to be the best team in the PSL and you Kinsho (Pitso) are then falsey mentioned as the best coach in the league ....while you are not.

It's so interesting to read that Sundown are busy in the market and looking for good players when we (Chiefs) are busy marketing funeral cover.
