City Striker Lands Long-Term Deal
Letsie Koapeng Has Extended His Stay With Cape Town City
Cape Town City striker, Letsie Koapeng, has secured himself a long-term deal with the club after impressing during the second half of last season.
The 25-year-old signed for City back in January from Stellenbosch FC in the National First Division, going on to help the club achieve a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup in their first year of existence.
Koapeng only signed a short-term contract until the end of the season, however, it included an option to extend should he manage to leave his mark on Eric Tinkler and his technical team.
Now, despite Tinkler’s departure for SuperSport United, it seems that the forward is in Benni McCarthy’s plans for 2017/18, with the club exercising their three-year option on the player that will keep him there until 2020.
Koapeng played nine league games for City, scoring one goal.
