Khumalo Exit To Open Door For Sundowns Player?
Kaizer Chiefs To Go In For Mamelodi Sundowns Player, If Sibusiso Khumalo Leaves?
Kaizer Chiefs could look to pounce on one of Mamelodi Sundowns players, should Sibusiso Khumalo be sent out on loan this season.
Recent reports have revealed that Khumalo, who has since fallen out of favour at Naturena, could seal a loan move elsewhere in the current July/August transfer window, with indications that Head Coach Steve Komphela views the player as surplus to requirements at the club.
Tsepo Masilela has sealed his place as Komphela’s first-choice left back, with the club having also acquired the signature of Philani Zulu who can be utilised in that department as well.
However, with the absence of George Lebese who has since completed his move to Sundowns, Chiefs could look try and land the services of the Brazilians’ Mzikayise Mashaba, filling the gap left by the left winger.
Mashaba has fallen out of favour with Masandawana and although registered for the team’s CAF Champions League campaign, the player made just one appearance in the competition.
The 28-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates following the transfer of Oupa Manyisa to the Brazilians, however, Siya sources have since indicated that Chiefs could possibly look to lure the player to Naturena before the current transfer window closes shut on August, 31.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Amakhosi will be sending Khumalo out on loan and whether the club will look to approach Sundowns for Mashaba.
