Kaizer Chiefs may have added a couple of new players to their roster for the new season, but their shopping spree isn’t over just yet as they continue to bolster their squad.

The Siya crew reported on Monday afternoon that both Teenage Hadebe and Philani Zulu had been spotted undergoing their first training session at the club, something that was later confirmed as Chiefs announced their three-year deals.
Another potential new player, Tanaka Chinyahara, was also seen training with Steve Komphela’s side, although it remains to be seen if he will be offered a contract at Naturena or not.
Meanwhile, the likes of Ndumiso Mabena, Bhongolwethu Jayiya and Steven Pienaar, all of whom are currently free agents, have been linked with Chiefs of late and the fact that they are not tied down to a club could count in their favour.
In other transfer news, Ghanaian reports have suggested that Komphela could seek a reunion with former Maritzburg United man, Mohamed Awal, and Mosa Lebusa’s agent recently confirmed to the crew that the Amakhosi were keen on the Ajax Cape Town player.
Jabulani Shongwe, who’s been frozen out at Wits, could be an option given the Glamour Boys’ interest in the past, but a move for Jeremy Brockie seems unlikely given SuperSport’s decision to issue a hands-off warning following Chiefs’ enquiry about his availability.
Lastly, Sinethemba Jantjie is another name that has been linked with the Amakhosi in recent months, though he too is currently contracted and Free State Stars will only sell to the highest bidder if they decide to sell at all.
