Chiefs Make Late Manyama Enquiry
Kaizer Chiefs Have Made An Enquiry About Lebogang Manyama
With just over 36 hours left of South Africa’s transfer window, the Siya crew has been informed that Kaizer Chiefs made an enquiry about Lebogang Manyama.
Manyama, 26, has been the subject of speculation ever since the January transfer window earlier this year, with Mamelodi Sundowns known to be big admirers of the former SuperSport United man.
The attacker, who was dropped by Benni McCarthy over the weekend, is currently away in Cape Verde on international duty with Bafana Bafana, however there does still seem like there’s a good chance that he will move on before the transfer window closes.
It has already been reported by the crew that Turkish club, Konyaspor, are also in the race alongside Sundowns, and it now appears that the Amakhosi are considering making a late push as well.
However, the R12.4m price tag that has been put on Manyama’s head by owner, John Comitis, could be a stumbling block for the Glamour Boys, with Chiefs needing to smash their record transfer fee if they were to make a move.
Chiefs almost signed Manyama in 2013, however, he moved to SuperSport instead.
