Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, is expected to be fit again when the Amakhosi are back in action next month, using the international break to get himself right.

Khune, 30, has missed both of the Glamour Boys’ league games so far this season due to a chest infection, with the problem also forcing him to withdraw from the Bafana Bafana side for the upcoming games against Cape Verde.
The shot-stopper had his best season in a few years in 2016/17 as he played 24 Absa Premiership matches after missing big chunks of the two campaigns previous to that, however, things haven’t gotten off to a good start this time around.
With Chiefs failing to win any of their opening games without Khune, both Steve Komphela and the club’s fans will be hoping to have him back as soon as possible.
The keeper’s chest infection was so bad that it had him in hospital last week, although he is now at home and recovering as he looks to try and get himself back playing again.
With Bafana facing Cape Verde in two World Cup Qualifiers shortly, Khune will be keen to use the time off to sort himself out so that he can be back in Komphela’s squad when they travel to the Mother City for September 13th.
