Eymael To Strengthen Stars Defence
Free State Stars To Strengthen Their Defence
Luc Eymael is keen on strengthening the defence for Free State Stars as part of his plan for improving the team’s performances and results going forward.
As reported by the Siya crew, the Belgian coach is interested in signing experienced Patrick Phungwayo for his team’s defence, with the Alexandra-born left back now a free agent after being released by Orlando Pirates.
Stars have also recently been assessing former Jomo Cosmos and Bloemfontein Celtic defender, Cheslyn Jampies. Eymael is also keen on Guinea international defender Bengali Keita, with a view of adding him to the Ea Lla Koto squad.
“Keita is at Free State Stars. The club is expected to conclude his signing. The team’s head coach Luc Eymael likes him very much,” said the source.
Stars will have a tough game against Mamelodi Sundowns on their return from the break on September 12.
