Ex-Downs Man Eyeing Arrows Deal

Former Sundowns Midfielder Keen On Joining Arrows

By Soccer Laduma - Aug 28, 2017 06:43 PM

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Mukuka Mulenga, is eyeing a return to the PSL with a potential deal at Golden Arrows.

The Zambian international has been training with Abafana Bes’thende, with a view to securing a move to the club. Arrows are keen on strengthening their squad with more players, before the transfer window deadline at the end of the week.

The KZN outfit is looking at the likes of Bidvest Wits’ Jabulani Shongwe, as well as Karabo Tshepe to strengthen the team. Mulenga, 24, is a free agent, and would not be affected by Thursday’s transfer window deadline in joining a new club.

It was reported by the Siya crew in June that the player has been keen on making a return to the PSL, and now Arrows have offered him a chance to train with the team.

Mulenga has been in the football wilderness since parting ways with Sundowns at the end of his contract last year. Apart from spending time at Downs, Mulenga also had stints with Bloemfontein Celtic and Mpumalanga Black Aces in the PSL.

This is a good player for Clinton Larsen's team . They worked very well together at Celtic : remember them beating downs with a big score ! He was a live wire on that day.

Golden Arrows have confirmed the signing of midfielder Jabulani Shongwe from Bidvest Wits. As reported by Indidane, earlier today, the 27-year-old has been training with the club and has since secured a contract with the Durban-based outfit.

@Myaka weliPhefeni..that's true,,It's also puzzles me as to what really went wrong with this guy because at one stage he was tipped as Zambia's next big thing but surprisingly he failed to live up to that expactations,,Hopefully Arrows will help him revive his career.
