Final Hours: Sundowns Up The Ante For Ngoma
Final Hours: Mamelodi Sundowns Have Made Another Offer For Aubrey Ngoma
Mamelodi Sundowns have made another offer to Cape Town City for the services of Aubrey Ngoma, after having their first bid rejected. This according to Siya sources.
It was revealed on the Soccer Laduma website earlier today that City chairman John Comitis confirmed that Ngoma will be remaining with the Mother City-based club, after rejecting Sundowns’ first offer for the player.
“We had an offer from Sundowns but it wasn’t enough. We’ve decided that we don’t want to lose Aubrey now, we want him to get back playing and back to his best and then maybe we can look at something next season,” Comitis told the Siya crew.
However, Siya sources close to the Chloorkop-based club have revealed that Masandawana have approached City with a new offer for the player, in hopes of securing the 27-year-old’s signature before the transfer window slams shut at midnight today - August 31.
Now, it remains to be seen whether City will be accept Sundowns’ new bid for Ngoma in the final hours of the window, or if the Bafana Bafana international will remain with the Mother City-based club for at least four more months.
