Dikwena Close In On Chiefs Man, Agree Terms
Enocent Mkhabela Is Closer To Leaving Kaizer Chiefs
Platinum Stars agreed to terms with Kaizer Chiefs over the transfer of Enocent Mkhabela, with the club now seeking to finalise personal terms with the player himself.
The 28-year-old joined the Amakhosi at the start of the 2016/17 season after being released by SuperSport United, however, went on loan to Dikwena in January after failing to make the grade at Naturena under Steve Komphela.
It was reported by the Siya crew last month that Stars had begun talks with Chiefs regarding the permanent transfer of the midfielder and it was confirmed this week that he will be given the chance to ‘make his stay with Dikwena permanent’.
According to Siya sources, Chiefs and Stars have now finalised the terms of the player's move should he want to make the switch and the Phokeng-based outfit are now engaging Mkhabela’s representatives with regards to personal terms.
The midfielder has played his best football with Stars over the past six seasons and it is thought that he is eager to return to his former club permanently having been deemed surplus to requirements with the Glamour Boys.
Meanwhile, Peter Butler is expected to put pen to paper on his contract with Stars today after leaving his position as head coach of Botswana earlier this week.
