Defender Training With Ajax

Defender Training With Ajax Cape Town

By Soccer Laduma - Aug 02, 2017 11:50 AM

Junaid Sait, who was previously on the books of Stellenbosch FC, is currently training with Ajax Cape Town with indications that the club could look to add the player to their books for the new 2017/18 campaign.

The 24-year-old defender recently received a call up to Head Coach Stuart Baxter’s Chan squad, however, was not part of the team who claimed a two-legged win over Botswana in the competition.

After captaining Stellenbosch all the way to the PSL play-offs, indications are that Sait is eager to take the next step of his professional football career and secure a move to a club in Mzansi’s top flight.

It has since been confirmed to Soccer Laduma by Siya sources in the know that the player is currently training under the watchful eye of Head Coach Stanley Menzo and his technical team.

The Urban Warriors have completed just two signings ahead of the 2017/18 campaign so far, after acquiring the services of Isaac Nhlapho, who initially signed a pre-contract with the club in January this year and Sedwyn George who was the NFD’s top goalscorer for the 2016/17 season.

Now, it remains to be seen whether the Cape Town-based club will look to make more signings ahead of the new season and whether Sait will be added to the club’s roster for the new campaign.
