Celtic Plan To Tie Down Star
Bloemfontein Celtic Want To Keep Defender
Bloemfontein Celtic have plans to extend the contract of Wandisile Letlabika, with a view of keeping him at the club for a few more years.
Having lost some of the key players from last season’s squad during this transfer window in Lyle Lakay, Musa Nyatama and Dumisani Zuma, Celtic is not keen to lose more players.
As reported in edition 1033 of Soccer Laduma, Celtic is keen on securing Letlabika’s long-term future with a new contract at the club.
While the 27-year-old defender is still contracted to Celtic for two more years, the club is keen to tie down the former Mamelodi Sundowns player on a new deal, as confirmed by sources close to the Mangaung outfit.
“They (Celtic) want him to sign a new contract. There has been interest in the player from some of the Gauteng clubs. But Celtic want him to sign a new long-term contract. They want him to sign a new three-year contract, but the club will have to first reach an agreement with the player over his terms before anything can happen,” said the source.
