Ex-Chiefs Trialist At Celtic
Bloemfontein Celtic Assessing Zimbabwean Defender
Former Kaizer Chiefs trialist, Ronald Pfumbidzai, is being assessed at Bloemfontein Celtic, with the likelihood of being signed by the club.
The 22-year-old, Pfumbidzai, is regarded as one of the top left backs coming out of Zimbabwe and can also play as a left winger. In January 2015, he was on trial at Chiefs, although he was not signed by the Soweto giants.
He later signed with Hobro IK in Denmark in July of that year. The defender had a short stint with the Danish outfit, before returning to Zimbabwe’s CAPS United for the beginning of last year.
Celtic is keen to add him to the team for the new season.
“Bloemfontein Celtic is assessing Ronald Pfumbidzai. Ronald is one of the best left backs in Zimbabwe,” said the source.
Celtic has been one of the busier clubs during this transfer window and already signed Lucky Baloyi, Ndumiso Mabena and Jacky Motshegwa, who are among some of the new players who have joined the club.
