Maritzburg Man On The Move After Mutual Termination
Blessing Moyo Has Left Maritzburg United
Versatile young Zimbabwean, Blessing Moyo, is on the hunt for a new club after agreeing a mutual termination with Maritzburg United after just one season.
The 21-year-old, who is naturally a full back but played largely as a defensive midfielder, joined The Team of Choice from Dynamos back in July of last year, and despite playing 16 games last season, it was decided that he wouldn’t be registered this campaign as one of their foreign quota spots.
With that in mind, the player and his agent, Siyabulela Loyilane, negotiated his exit and he is now on the hunt for a new club as he seeks to get back playing again.
Loyilane told the Siya crew, “It’s true that Blessing parted ways with Maritzburg by mutual termination. He is young and turning 22, and getting game time is more important… With the foreign quota he was not going to be registered hence the decision to declare him a free agent so he can get a new club.”
Moyo, who was also used as a centre back on occasion last season, is now able to take his time on a decision because he isn’t marshalled by the transfer window rules as a free agent.
