Ngoma Injury To Derail Sundowns?

Aubrey Ngoma Injury To Derail Mamelodi Sundowns?

By Soccer Laduma - Jun 30, 2017 12:03 PM

Aubrey Ngoma sustained an injury to his knee while on duty for the South African national team, but could his injury derail Mamelodi Sundowns from trying to pursue the player’s services?

It is no secret that Sundowns are keen on trying to lure the 27-year-old into their camp for the new 2017/18 season and alongside City’s chairman, John Comitis’ efforts to hold on to the player’s services for the new campaign, the player’s injury could derail Masandawana from coming in for his services.

The South African Football Association confirmed yesterday that Ngoma was withdrawn from Head Coach Stuart Baxter’s COSAFA Cup squad due to injury and despite the extent of the injury still unknown, indications are that the player could face weeks out on the sidelines, missing out on pre-season training.

City will report to pre-season training tomorrow, July 01 and it remains to be seen whether the player will return to the Mother City or if he will need to undergo surgery.

The Brazilians already have a growing list of injuries to their current squad and indications are that Masandawana will want to bolster their squad in the upcoming transfer window with players who are able to keep up with the CAF Champions League winners’ hectic schedule.

There is no doubt that City will put a hefty price tag on Ngoma’s services should any interested outfit look to approach the Mother City-based club for the player and with the player’s current injury, it remains to be seen whether Sundowns will still look to come in with millions for Ngoma’s services.

Mamelodi Sundowns gave me my best years in football.. "It's that first trophy," Modise told The INDIDANE. "That was my greatest achievement at Sundowns; to win a first trophy when people said I was cursed, [and] that I would never win anything," Modise added.

If he get lucrative offer n both teams agree that he can join Sundowns, then he should try his luck. he is no longer a youngster, he need that contract will give him at least R180k each month or upwards.

@Bongan west Plz leave "Kings of Africa" alone, if your teams can't buy Ngoma, it is their fault, not Sundown's. Sundowns has gone the stage of buying too many players and that has passed to Chips and Wits (teams that are still building up). Ngoma is the quality player, he deserves to be with African Champions. Unomona wena qha!!!!
