AmaZulu Assessing Acornbush Goalkeeper
Acornbush United Goalkeeper Training With AmaZulu
AmaZulu have handed Acornbush United goalkeeper, Sibusiso Masuku, a trial with the team.
Masuku was one of the top performers for Acornbush, during their impressive Nedbank Cup campaign of the 2016/17 season. The shot-stopper was in goals for the ABC Motsepe League side in their two games in the competition, against Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs respectively.
In our investigation about his whereabouts, the Siya crew has found that the player is training with Usuthu in KwaZulu-Natal. Contacted for comment, Masuku’s agent Christiano Kolobe confirmed that AmaZulu have handed the player a trial.
“Sibusiso Masuku from Arconbush is training with AmaZulu. He is the goalkeeper that played for Arconbush against Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup. He is currently with AmaZulu in Durban.
“There is interest in the player from other PSL teams. But, as the player’s representatives, we have decided to give AmaZulu a chance to assess him first. We gave them the first option. He is a good player who has attracted interest from a few clubs in the PSL. He started training with AmaZulu on Monday this week. If everything goes well he will be signing with the club. The player’s future is very important to us,” said Kolobe.
Masuku was the Man of the Match in their game against Chiefs at the Kabokweni Stadium in April.
