Sphephelo Sithole, 18, who has been playing for KZN Academy, has joined Sporting Lisbon and will now be hoping to make an impact with the club as soon as possible.

The teenage midfielder, a member of the 2015 U17 World Cup side, was spotted by Sporting while playing at the Durban U19 tournament last year and was invited for trials once he turned 18.

Now, having impressed during his short time there, Sporting have decided to bring him on board, however, the details at this time have not been confirmed.

This stronger league than PSL loves our raw talent. Yet we are so blind to spot a better talent than abo Gabuza , Philani Zulu and Tshabalala.

Make it count young lad, you are not only representing yourself and family there, the entire nations is behind you in support, if able, contact Zungu next door, I’m pretty sure that his door will be open for conversation. In Portuguese we say " boa jogada" meaning good move
