Phiri's Guingamp See Off Lille, Mokotjo Returns

France

Lebogang Phiri played 80 minutes for Guingamp as they recorded a 1-0 win over Lille in Ligue 1 over on Saturday evening.

Keagan Dolly played the final few minutes in Montpellier's 1-0 win over Troyes on Saturday evening.

On Sunday, Bongani Zungu made his first start for Amiens and played 81 minutes as they lost 2-0 to Olympique Marseille on Sunday afternoon.

England

Kamohelo Mokotjo returned the starting line up and played 74 minutes as Brentford drew 1-1 with Reading in the Championship on Saturday.

Moving to League One, Kgosi Nthle was introduced in the 57th minute but was unable to stop Rochdale from suffering a 3-2 loss to Milton Keyens Dons.

Netherlands

Lars Veldwijk was on the losing in the Dutch Eredivisie, as was played the final 20 minutes in Gronigen's 2-1 loss to NAC Breda.

Belgium

Andile Jali completed the full 90 minutes as KV Oostende fell to a 2-0 loss to Gent on Sunday evening.

Azerbaijan

Dino Ndlovu played 83 minutes as Qarabag returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Kapaz on Sunday night.

Sweden

Mihlali Mayambela lasted 80 minutes Degerfors as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Varnamo in the Swedish second division.

Our youth systems are not producing players good enough to play in: La Liga, Bundesliga, EPL and Serie A. By world footballing standards, we are a 3rd tier football nation.

@Boikano but their are playing in first division as we speak. You mean second division? In France they have league 1 (first division ) & League 2 (second) division. In SA they National First Division which is our second division. It's not just a first division, But National First Division.

@makhanda-mendu me, if it is about going to overseas at all cost, I don't have a problem, but if it is about improving their football careers, these boys will achieve nothing at some these clubs...
