Reports: Bafana Striker Linked With Dutch Switch
Lars Veldwijk Is Wanted By A Club In Holland
According to reports in Holland, Bafana Bafana striker, Lars Veldwijk, is wanted by Dutch club, FC Groningen, once his loan in Norway comes to an end.
The 25-year-old is now into the last month of his loan with Aalesund in the Eliteserien and he has managed to impress during his time there scoring five goals since April, picking up the game time that he felt he was lacking in Belgium with KV Kortrijk.
Now, with Veldwijk set to return to Kortrijk at the end of the month, Voetbal International is reporting that Groningen could look to try and bring him back to Holland ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Groningen’s head coach at present is Ron Jans, Veldwijk’s former PEC Zwolle coach under whom he scored 14 goals in 2015/16 and it appears that there could be a reunion on the cards for the South African international.
Veldwijk was linked with a move to Thulani Serero’s Vitesse recently, but at this stage, it remains to be seen where he will be playing his football next season.
