Bafana Striker To Join Serero At Vitesse?
Lars Veldwijk Could Be On His Way To Join Thulani Serero
Dutch-born Bafana Bafana international, Lars Veldvijk, could be joining Thulani Serero at Eredivisie side, Vitesse Arnhem, after meeting their head coach this month.
The 25-year-old has four goals in his last two games with Aaelsund in Norway, with the forward currently enjoying a five-month loan in the Eliteserien.
Veldwijk has a contract with Belgian side, KV Kortrijk, until 2020 and will see his loan deal end on July 31st, however, the club does have an option to buy if they think that he has done enough to warrant a long-term deal in Norway.
Meanwhile, the player recently admitted that he had met with Henk Fraser, Vitesse’s coach, during the recent international break, telling Fox Sports that he would be tempted by a return to his homeland.
He said, "During the last international weekend I had a good conversation with Henk Fraser… It’s nice to be closer to my family.”
Vitesse, who signed Thulani Serero this month, recently lost their top scorer, Ricky van Wolfswinkel to FC Basel and are on the lookout for his replacement.
