Mamelodi Sundowns have been dealt a big blow ahead of today’s CAF Champions League quarterfinal, with three key players being ruled out of the encounter.
Masandawana face Moroccan giants, Wydad Casablanca, at Lucas Moripe Stadium at 15h00 as they look to make use of home advantage before next week’s second leg.
However, Pitso Mosimane will have to do that without the likes of star attacker, Khama Billiat, as well as super sub, Anthony Laffor, and new signing, George Lebese.
Mosimane’s side have lost just one of their eight CCL games so far this year, although have won just one of their four home games up to now – including a defeat to another Northan African side, Esperance de Tunis, in June.
The club’s official website confirmed that Billiat’s hip problem, Laffor’s ankle issue and Lebese’s groin will see all three players miss the game, with Mosimane being forced to look elsewhere with regards to the Brazilians’ attacking threat against the Kings of Titles.
