Pitso Mosimane: It Is Very Sad For Football

The Brazilians were eliminated from the CAF Champions League quarterfinals, after losing to Wydad Athletic Club in a penalty shootout in the second-leg on Saturday, September 23.

Speaking in a post-match press-conference in Morocco, Head Coach Mosimane congratulated the Wydad Casablanca side, however believes that Masandawana’s chances of progressing further in the competition were lost in the first-leg which took place in Pretoria on September 17.

“I have to give them credit, in the first 45 minutes they really showed that they want to win. I think we played very well, we came here not to sit back, we played to attack and unfortunately, football, penalties anyone can win,” Mosimane told the media after his defeat to the Moroccan side.

“But, congratulations to Wydad, I think we lost the game in Pretoria, not here. In Pretoria we had three balls, with the referee saying it's off-side, it’s not off-side, and you saw the match. But, we understand and congratulations. I regret the game in Pretoria, it is very sad. It is very sad for football, three situations of off-side - three,” the coach added.

Mosimane fudball is like that you can't be happy the whole season to fudball this teach every team who will play to Cafe Champs Leauge or Confederation Cup that home games and first leg is important is where you suppose to win with goals because some teams to Cafe they score 6,5,4,3 goals when they're playing to home grounds they're not doing like our Psl teams in the league they usually won games with single goals

I agree with Pitso, the line man cost us that game, it doesn't help crying over it now its the pressure that comes with playing at that stage he should be used to it by now so its over now we just need to move on. As for the price money it should be donated to Makhosikazi they need it more than us.

Lairs, You still had a very gud chance to progress because you did well by not conceding a goal in Pretoria, You only have to score 1 away goal, sit back n win or get a draw, progress with away goal rule, You simple failed to put a plan to pass their defense, Stop crying man

Dont worry Sir Pitso, FIFA is granting replays just contact Senegal FA for instructions then you'll get a replay, three incorrect offside is too much you might even get automatic win to the finals, FIFA is not using backdoors but big and sliding garage door, even your hooligans will get in for free. But you must go via Senegal to reach football blesser of Zurich.
