Bafana Bafana were crowned winners in the COSAFA Cup Plate section after defeating Namibia 1-0 in the final on Friday evening.
The Namibians were awarded a penalty after four minutes. Ketjijere stepped up to take the penalty but dragged his effort wide of the upright.
Bafana struggled to get settled in the opening 15 minutes and were restricted to efforts from distance.
Namibia should have broken the deadlock after 17 minutes but Katjiteo somehow side-footed his effort wide of the upright.
However, it was Bafana who broke the deadlock in the 35th minute when Mohau Mokate's long range effort took a deflection and sailed into the back of the net.
The hosts were then dealt a blow just before the break when Thendo Mukumela limped off. He was replaced by Sandile Mthethwa.
Bafana had a chance to double their lead in the 55th minute but Judas Moseamedi failed to beat Maximilian Mbaeva, who was way off his line.
Namibia responded with a change in the 63rd as Highlands Park's Peter Shalulile was introduced as they pushed for an equaliser.
The Namibians went agonisingly close to leveling matters in the 76th minutes but Haoaseb's looping crashed onto the crossbar with Pule well beaten.
Boalefa Pule came to Bafana's rescue in stoppage time, as he produced a fine save to deny Namibia an equaliser in the final stages of stoppage time.
Here's how they lined up:
Bafana: Pule (GK), Mukumela, Malepe, Booysen, Gordinho, Mvala, Masalesa (C), Norodien, Sibiya, Mokate, Moseamedi.
Namibia: Mbaeva, Haoseb, Hanaumb, Karongee, Horaeb, Hotto, Ketjijere, Katjiteo, Gome, Keimune, Shitembi.
